Event Management, Design & Production
2023

My work as an event manager, designer, and producer lives at the crossroads of creativity, culture, and care. From intimate community gatherings to nationally recognized productions, I approach every project as an opportunity to create meaningful experiences that engage the senses and uplift the spirit.
As a Kennedy Center Fellow, I have contributed to prestigious events such as the Mark Twain Prize and the Kennedy Center Honors, bringing a refined eye for production design and logistical precision to large-scale creative environments. I also produced my first full-scale festival, SunFest, where I oversaw every aspect of design, coordination, and execution — shaping a vibrant, multidimensional experience from concept to completion.
Beyond institutional work, I design and produce personal celebrations and culturally rooted events, from baby showers to Black cultural gatherings like Kwanzaa, often sourcing props, furniture, and décor from my own creative stock. My process is guided by deep cultural awareness, resourcefulness, and an intuitive sense of beauty — allowing me to bring visions to life with intention, warmth, and imagination, no matter the budget.
For me, production is an act of storytelling — transforming space, sound, and design into shared moments of joy, reflection, and connection.
