◉≋ Afroscape — Afro Hair, Skin, Body Orientation This is not a conventional hair or beauty consultation. Afroscape approaches Afro hair, skin and body as interconnected terrain—an embodied ecology shaped by texture, moisture, environment, sensory experience, inherited knowledge, cultural practices and the systems that have taught us how Black bodies are supposed to look, behave and be cared for. Together, we can examine hair texture and behavior, moisture and porosity, scalp and skin practices, product relationships, cleansing, manipulation, routine, environmental conditions, sensory needs, adornment, body-care practices and recurring patterns or questions. We can also investigate where inherited beauty rules, professional standards or generalized advice conflict with what your actual body is communicating. Afroscape is not organized around correcting the Black body. The work is learning how to read the terrain you already inhabit. Whether we meet virtually or through hands-on work, this is relational practice. I bring years of Black hair, skin and body knowledge, creative practice, research and Afroscape methodology. You bring the lived archive of your own body. We observe together, identify patterns and develop practices that can continue changing as your body, environment and needs change. Scope of work: Afroscape is an educational, creative and embodied-care practice. It can include hair, skin and body-care literacy, observation, routine development, product and ingredient literacy, and hands-on practices where offered. It does not provide medical or dermatological diagnosis or treatment.
