✺ Astro Me September 2026 — The Quiet Sky Is Still Moving

Altard U & Astro Me

Illustration introducing Altar’d U & Astro Me. A handcrafted clay altar sits beneath a large arched portal made of concentric red, gold, and olive lines. The altar is filled with sculpted ritual objects, including candles, vessels, cowrie shells, bowls, masks, protective hands, ancestral figures, charms, and devotional objects, all rendered in richly textured clay. Above the altar, stylized planets, clouds, stars, and Saturn float within the arch, connecting ancestral practice with the cosmos. The words “Astro Me” curve across the upper right of the arch, while “Altar’d U” appears along the lower left, introducing the relationship between embodied astrology, ancestral veneration, and lived cosmology.
Altar’d U & Astro Me is where the altar and the sky meet. This is the doorway into the astrology work I’ve been building inside the Bespokecurry Cosmos—where ancestors, ritual, observation, and embodiment remain in conversation with the movements of the planets. The altar reminds me that astrology is never separate from the body or the communities that shaped it. The sky becomes another place to practice relationship, another ecosystem to observe, and another way of paying attention to the living world around us.

Embodied Astrology, Ancestral Veneration & Lived Cosmology

Altard U & Astro Me is a crossroads where the self, ancestors, and cosmos are held in relationship.

This is astrology returned to the body—beyond tropes, beyond surface meaning—toward lived practice, ancestral memory, and grounded spiritual rhythm.

The stars are not spectacle here; they are relational guides for embodied living.

September Astro Me  ◉)) I Hear Tings  — Three Aural Worlds

The I Hear Tings stamp features a richly textured sculptural ear in electric blue, orange, purple, pink and green, covered in layered channels, spirals, openings and raised beads, with colorful antenna-like tendrils extending from its center and a warped blue-and-green grid floating behind it against a black star-speckled field.
The I Hear Tings stamp opens the Astro Me sound thread, where the month’s sky enters through rhythm and the body listens for what the planets have not said in words.

Flying Lotus + Laura Darlington — “Auntie’s Lock/Infinitum” A world that keeps unfolding after you think you have found its edge. Circular, spacious, slightly strange. It gives September its continuation: time moving without demanding a destination.

Flying Lotus + Laura Darlington — “Auntie’s Lock/Infinitum” — continuation. A world unfolding beyond its edges, moving without demanding arrival.

Huerco S. — “Cubist Camouflage” A world assembled through texture, repetition, and things half-concealed. Movement happens underneath perception. It gives September its tending: paying enough attention to notice what is changing before it becomes obvious.

Huerco S. — “Cubist Camouflage” — tending. Texture, repetition, and movement happening beneath what is immediately visible.

Yussef Kamaal — “Black Focus” A world built through musicians listening to one another in motion—rhythm holding structure while improvisation keeps opening new routes. It gives September its reorientation: focus not as rigidity, but as enough grounding to move differently.

Yussef Kamaal — “Black Focus” — reorientation. Rhythm holds the ground while improvisation opens another route.

Together, the three tracks make September audible: continuation, tending, reorientation. Quiet does not mean nothing is happening. The whole field is moving.

Float them for intention wherever you listen to your music tings in the month of September.

✺ Astro Me September 2026 — The Quiet Sky Is Still Moving

Colorful clay-style Astro Me September 2026 graphic set against a purple retro-futurist grid. The title “September 2026 — The Quiet Sky Moving” stretches across the top above planets and a row of moon phases. Four Black clay figures represent Scorpio, Libra, Virgo, and Cancer, surrounded by their zodiac symbols and objects including scales, binoculars, a magnifying glass, book, and compass. “the bespokecurry cosmos” appears at the lower left.
September arrives beneath a quieter sky, but quiet does not mean still. Scorpio, Libra, Virgo, and Cancer move through a field of tending, relationship, observation, preparation, and compost—reminding us that even when movement is difficult to see, the atmosphere is still changing.

September arrives quieter.

Not empty.

Quiet.

And I am trying to learn the difference.

The larger sky we entered this summer is still here. Fire is still asking for expression while Air is still asking for new forms and new infrastructures. But September brings Earth and Water closer to the conversation. Virgo asks us to tend what we’ve begun. Cancer asks whether what we’re building can actually hold a body. Libra approaches with questions of relationship. And Scorpio is beginning to appear over the horizon, reminding us that eventually everything we gather has to become something else.

  • Purple clay Virgo homeieholding a magnifying glass and book, with grain and plants growing from their hair.
Virgo begins with attention: look closely, then tend what is already there.
  • Cancer enters September through care, containment, and the question of what can hold a body.
  • Scorpio brings decomposition closer to the horizon: what can be allowed to compost?
  • Libra turns September toward relationship and what we are actually holding together.

We have gotten very good at circulation.

Information moves before our bodies have time to understand what they have received. Images. Violence. Language. Grief. Outrage. Instruction. Identity. Crisis. Somebody else’s emergency arrives in our hands before we’ve finished metabolizing our own.

But circulation without digestion becomes regurgitation.

So I’m entering September wondering about compost.

What are we allowed to stop circulating long enough to break down?

What needs darkness?

What needs time?

What have we mistaken for waste because it no longer resembles the thing we originally consumed?

Compost isn’t disappearance. It is matter changing relationship to itself.

And as summer begins bending toward autumn, that feels like part of the terrain too.

We are moving back toward preparation.

Not yet winter. Not even fully autumn. But the light is changing. The growing season is beginning to tell us what it produced. Soon enough, some things will need harvesting. Some will need storing. Some will need cutting back. And some will need to be left exactly where they fall so they can feed whatever comes next.

Maybe September is less about knowing what comes next than becoming attentive to what this season has already made.

The Quiet Sky

Blue clay binoculars with purple lenses, placed beside “The Quiet Sky” section of Astro Me September 2026.
Looking does not require knowing what comes next.

I haven’t lived September yet.

I want to say that plainly.

Astrology can show me terrain. It cannot tell me what it will feel like to walk through it.

And from where I am standing at the end of August, one of the terrains I can already see is quiet.

Quiet has been complicated for me.

Sometimes quiet looks a lot like loneliness.

I have spent this month making. Writing. Building. Connecting pieces of the Bespokecurry Cosmos that have been floating separately for years. Things are settling into an evolving format I have never known before.

And I am proud of it.

Deeply.

But pride doesn’t erase the strange experience of making something you know is alive and watching very little visibly come back toward you.

Sometimes I make something and the room remains quiet.

Sometimes I publish something and the room remains quiet.

Sometimes I build another part of this world and wonder who knows that it is here.

There is a particular loneliness in creating from a place that finally feels like yourself and discovering that arrival does not necessarily produce witness.

I don’t want to make that quiet mean more than I actually know.

I don’t know whether quiet means absence.

I don’t know whether something is moving beyond where I can see it.

I don’t know whether people are watching without speaking.

I don’t know whether the work is early.

I don’t know whether some things simply need to exist before they are engaged.

And I don’t want astrology to answer those questions for me.

I want to become capable of standing inside the quiet without immediately turning it into evidence.

Easier said than done.

Practice required.

Because a quiet sky is still moving.

August Was Methodical

Curving purple constellation path with five gold stars arranged along its bends.
Methodical does not mean linear. The path can bend and still be movement.

August felt methodical for me.

Not spectacular.

Methodical.

I kept showing up.

I kept writing.

I kept making images.

I kept building worlds and pathways between them.

And somewhere inside all of that repetition, the static finally began to clear.

For a long time, movement itself could become static. There were so many possible directions, so many points asking for my attention, that having multiple paths didn’t always feel like freedom. Sometimes it felt like standing in the middle of all of them at once.

That is changing.

I am learning my flow.

I am learning what movement helps me make it through a day.

Then a week.

Then a month.

I am learning when to write and when to build. When to move my body. When to cook. When to watch something. When to leave an idea alone. When to follow a thread because it has suddenly connected itself to three other parts of the Cosmos.

I have stopped expecting it to behave like a straight one.

That might be one of the most important things August gave me.

I don’t need every point to resolve before I move.

I can move between them.

Tending

Eight clay moon phases arranged in a horizontal cycle from dark moon through full moon and back again.
Tending has phases. Not every part of the cycle asks for more.

Virgo season gives me language for what I think I have already been practicing.

Tending.

Not fixing.

Not optimizing.

Not producing myself into exhaustion.

Tending.

Tending requires observation before intervention.

You have to know what you’re standing beside.

You have to notice whether the soil is wet before adding water.

You have to know whether the leaf is dying or simply changing seasons.

You have to understand that sometimes touching something again is precisely what harms it.

That matters to me because I have spent so much of my life learning movement through urgency.

September’s terrain seems to ask something quieter:

Can movement come from relationship instead?

Can I know the rhythms that sustain me well enough that I don’t have to manufacture emergency in order to move?

Can I tend the work even when nobody applauds the tending?

Can I tend myself without making my body another project that needs to demonstrate progress?

That is the practice I can see from here.

Scorpio Is Already on the Horizon

Scorpio is already on the horizon, where tending begins to turn toward decomposition, transformation, and what we’re finally willing to let compost.

I can feel Scorpio waiting farther down the seasonal road.

Maybe because Scorpio is already so deeply embedded in my own sky.

Stellium Tings.

Saturn.

Mars.

Pluto.

Three very different relationships to power, action, consequence, control, desire, destruction and regeneration gathered in the same deep water.

I don’t experience Scorpio as an invitation to become darker.

I experience it as a refusal to pretend decomposition isn’t part of life.

Mars in Scorpio knows movement beneath the surface.

Saturn in Scorpio knows that depth requires structure.

Pluto in Scorpio knows that some transformations cannot happen while the previous form remains intact.

So when I think about September moving us gradually out of summer and toward Scorpio’s eventual terrain, I don’t immediately think about death.

I think about compost.

Because compost doesn’t ask whether something was good or bad.

It asks whether it can be transformed.

That feels important right now.

Especially after years in which so much information has moved through us without ever being given enough time to become knowledge.

We circulate.

We repost.

We repeat.

We react.

Sometimes we regurgitate.

But do we compost?

Do we let an experience sit long enough to alter us?

Do we allow information to meet our actual lives before we make it part of our language?

Do we know what belongs in our soil and what doesn’t?

That isn’t withdrawal from the collective.

It may be one of the ways we learn how to participate in it without disappearing.

September

Colorful clay compass with multicolored directional points on a pale circular base.
September is not a prediction. It is a field map: tending what is here, noticing what approaches, and leaving room for terrain I haven’t walked yet.

So I am not entering September with a prediction.

I haven’t been there yet.

I am standing at its edge with a field map.

I can see Virgo asking for tending.

I can see Libra approaching with questions about relationship.

I can see Scorpio farther down the road preparing the compost.

And I can see myself.

Still here.

Making.

Moving.

Learning the difference between stillness and stagnation.

Learning the difference between circulation and relationship.

Learning that quiet does not tell me whether I am alone.

Learning that tending something does not guarantee anyone else will notice it growing.

There is something difficult about that last one.

I don’t want to make it beautiful before it becomes beautiful.

Sometimes creating inside a quiet room is lonely.

Sometimes building a bridge while you are still waiting to see who will cross it is lonely.

I can be proud of what I am building and still want it to be witnessed.

Both are true.

Maybe September doesn’t need me to resolve that.

Though my OCD mind will def try, even if told it cannot.

Maybe tending means staying close enough to what is alive that I don’t abandon it simply because I cannot yet see what it is becoming.

The static has cleared enough for me to move.

So I will.

Not because I know where September ends.

Because I am finally learning how I move through the terrain.

September 2026 ASTRONOMY — The Quiet Sky Is Still Moving

Cosmos Watershed

September 2026 ASTRONOMY: The Quiet Sky Is Still Moving continues the recurring Astro Me field note practice established in August, widening relational observation from learning a changed sky into learning how to live, tend, and create beneath it. As summer begins turning toward preparation, the essay follows September’s movement through Virgo tending, Libra relationship, and the approaching terrain of Scorpio alongside a quieter personal atmosphere. Circulation becomes a central ecological question: what happens when information moves continuously without being digested, when it is simply regurgitated, and what might become possible if some of what we carry is finally allowed to compost?

August 2026 ASTRONOMY: Settling Into the New Sky

Origin

Continues the Astro Me monthly field note practice by moving from August’s orientation to a changed collective sky into September’s questions of tending, digestion, quiet, relationship, and preparation.

Expansion

Extends relational astrology into seasonal and informational ecology, asking how planetary and seasonal movement can help us observe what we circulate, what we metabolize, what we regurgitate, and what must be given enough time to compost.

Application

Uses September’s communal planetary terrain alongside lived observation to study sustainable movement across a day, week, and month; the relationship between creation and visible engagement; and the difference between quiet, loneliness, stillness, and stagnation.

Lineage

Rooted in Black ecologies of becoming, embodied observation, relational astrology, disability wisdom, seasonal preparation, tending practices, decomposition, and ecological thinking.

Counter Currents

Challenges astrology that treats planetary movement as prediction or predetermined personal outcome, while also resisting digital cultures of endless circulation in which information, grief, identity, and collective crisis are repeatedly transmitted without sufficient time for embodiment, digestion, or transformation.

Relational Observation

Cosmological Function

Studies the quieter September sky as living terrain, placing planetary movement into relationship with seasonal preparation, information circulation, creative practice, loneliness, tending, embodiment, and the rhythms that make sustained movement possible.

Core Inquiry

What becomes possible when I stop treating everything that reaches me as something that must immediately keep moving, and instead allow attention, information, experience, and creation enough time to be tended, digested, or composted?

Threshold

Observation becomes tending: learning to remain with what is present long enough to discover whether it needs movement, rest, relationship, decomposition, or transformation.

Black Ecological Orientation

Reads September’s celestial and seasonal movement through embodied Black ecological observation, treating tending, preparation, decomposition, quiet, and regeneration as interconnected practices rather than evidence of productivity or lack.

Calabash Relationship

Holds astrology alongside water, food, disability, fungi, Afro hair, information, creativity, community, and compost without collapsing their distinct ecologies into one explanatory system.

Wata(ring) W(hole) Relationship

The Six Waters remain the relational methodology through which the September sky is observed. Still Water holds the quiet without forcing meaning; Deep Water attends to what is moving beneath visibility and what must transform before returning to circulation.

Return Practice

Begin with the sky. Notice what has been circulating. Notice what your body has actually had time to receive. Tend what is present before deciding whether it needs to move again. Let some things compost.

The Six Waters

September enters the Wata(ring) W(hole) as a month of tending and metabolizing. The sky is quieter than the thresholds that opened 2026, but quiet does not mean nothing is moving. Virgo brings attention toward maintenance and discernment; Libra turns us toward relationship; Scorpio begins appearing on the seasonal horizon with decomposition and transformation. The question moving through the watershed becomes: after everything we have received and circulated, what have we actually had time to digest?
