the Bespoke book

A Living Archive of Creative Practice 

I am an artist, educator, creative practitioner, and worldbuilder. My work begins in relationship. Give me a material, a medium, a system, or a set of ingredients and I understand how to enter into creative relationship with it: to study how it behaves, learn its constraints and possibilities, experiment, make connections, and develop something that can move from idea into form.

That methodology travels. I work across movement, adornment, food, writing, visual culture, astrology, plant and fungi relationship, research, performance, and community practice—not as separate disciplines, but as different materials through which I investigate embodiment, memory, access, ecology, Black life, and the ways we learn to be in relationship with ourselves and one another.

Teaching is part of that same practice. I do not enter a room simply to deliver information. I build conditions for curiosity, experimentation, access, and discovery. My training in theatre and stage management taught me that imagination requires infrastructure: somebody has to understand the moving parts, anticipate what bodies need, create pathways through complexity, and help an idea become something people can actually enter.

BespokeCurry is where those relationships meet. It is not a collection of things I do. It is an evolving creative ecosystem built from the way I pay attention.
