✺ Astro Me October 2026

What becomes visible when the

dominant color

withdraws?

Astro Me / Altar'd U

Surreal red, indigo and turquoise riso collage of a Black queer figure standing inside a cowrie-shaped altar. They hold a small reflective object near their chest while surrounding hands reach inward through riblike arches. Roots extend from the figure toward organs, water ripples and broken fragments below. Curved lettering reads “Altar’d Call.”
What sounds elsewhere in the Cosmos can surface here as another form of recognition.

October does not arrive after the transformation. It arrives while I am finally able to see some of what the transformation has been doing.

The static cleared before recognition became fluency. I had to learn the body again. Build muscle. Build infrastructure. Learn what could carry weight and what had only taught me how to survive being overloaded. By fall, some of the structures I had been building began looking back at me.

And then the leaves got loud.

Before decomposition turns the landscape brown, chlorophyll withdraws and other pigments become perceptible. The color was not suddenly invented. Something that had dominated the leaf stopped obscuring what was already there.

I keep thinking about that as fall’s X-ray electricity.

What becomes visible when something else withdraws?

What becomes valuable once I stop using an inherited measurement?

What happens when a route is severed but the water keeps moving?

And now that I can carry more, which tings are actually worth carrying?

✺ Astro Me October 2026

A saturated Astro Me October 2026 collage shows five colorful Hom(e)ie figures standing across a warped turquoise grid beneath floating planetary forms and astrological symbols. Neon text reads “October 2026” and “Fall’s X-Ray Electricity.”
The October Astro Me Hom(e)ies gather inside fall’s X-ray electricity, where the month’s sky becomes a shared atmosphere for seeing what was already there.

Fall’s X-Ray Electricity

October Astro Me ◉)) I Hear Tings — Aural Worlds

The I Hear Tings Stamp. A sculpted, multicolored ear form in electric blue, orange, magenta and green floats against a black, speckled field. A warped neon-green grid expands behind it like an antenna while thin sensory tendrils extend outward.
The body is electric because it receives, conducts, and decides what keeps flowing.

October sounds electric, but electricity is more than voltage. There is current here. Signal. Bodies conducting and being conducted. Tings flowing, tings stalled, tings severed from one route and finding another. And there is fall’s particular electricity: color becoming perceptible as chlorophyll withdraws, the brief neon flare before decomposition changes the form again.

Fame — “Body Electric”

body / current / signal

“Body Electric” gives October its most literal charge: the body as conductor rather than a body merely surrounded by electricity. Its exuberance matters too. This isn’t a song frightened by embodiment. The body is alive, transmitting, responsive, capable of carrying charge.

That gives Fall’s X-Ray Electricity somewhere physical to begin. Before electricity becomes metaphor, relationship, infrastructure, or atmosphere, there is the electrical body itself.

Janelle Monáe — “Float”

arrival / confidence / altered gravity

“Float” carries itself like an announcement of changed relationship to the world. Monáe isn’t singing from the posture of someone waiting to become recognizable. The song moves with the confidence of somebody already aware of their own gravity—and aware that something about how they travel through the atmosphere has changed.

That makes it useful beside October’s question of visibility. The self does not suddenly exist because somebody else can see it. Recognition changes the movement. What once required proving, reaching, or explanation can begin to move differently once the self underneath the static becomes perceptible.

Handmade calabash vessel labeled “The Wata(ring) W(hole),” holding a blue spiral pool of water inside an orange clay-like form against a dark field.
What flo(at)s with you is also part of the water’s circulation.

weight / circulation / reciprocity / decomposition

Inside the Wata(ring) W(hole), flo(at) / floa(ting) has its own language. Floa(ting) is not weightlessness. The body is still held by water, still subject to pressure, still carrying mass. What changes is the relationship between weight, movement, and what is holding it.

And there are tings in the water with you.

What tings are flowing around you?

Which aren’t flowing anymore?

Which currents nourish?

Which have stalled?

What needs its route restored?

What needs to be cut?

What has already decomposed beyond the form you keep trying to restore?

Reciprocity enters there too.

Are you floa(ting) and drawing all the water toward yourself, or are you floa(ting) while making sure there is water for others?

Are you pouring yourself out so another body can flo(at)?

What happens to the larger watershed because of the way each body is moving through it?

Sometimes the work is restoring circulation. Sometimes it is cutting a route that keeps draining the system. Sometimes decomposition has already changed the ting so completely that restoration is no longer the appropriate ecological response.

The old route can be severed. The water can still move.

The Aural World — Body Electric / Float / flo(at)

The route changes. The current keeps carrying what can still move.

These aren’t two songs saying the same ting.

“Body Electric” locates the charge in the body.

“Float” gives us a musical language for moving differently once your relationship to yourself and the world has changed.

And then the Wata(ring) W(hole) takes flo(at) somewhere that belongs specifically to the Cosmos: into circulation, reciprocity, interruption, restoration, severance, and decomposition.

October can hold all three without collapsing them.

The body carries current.

The self changes how it moves.

The watershed asks what the tings around that body are doing.

And underneath all of it is fall’s X-ray electricity: what becomes perceptible when something that once dominated the field begins to withdraw.

✺ Astro Me October 2026 — Fall’s X-Ray Electricity

Astro Me October 2026 poster featuring a surreal tree whose trunk, branches, and roots contain human skeletal bones, surrounded by red autumn leaves, astrological coordinates, planetary diagrams, and the text “The Color Was Already There.”
The color was already there. Fall just changed what could be seen.

October is one of my favorite months.

I got married in October.

I stopped drinking around this time of year.

I picked up a kettlebell around this time last year and apparently decided I needed to learn what my body could actually carry.

There are dates in October that have become coordinates in my life without me necessarily deciding beforehand that they would be.

And then there is fall itself.

I love this particular part of it.

Not when everything has already gone brown.

Before that.

That strange neon part.

The trees get loud as fuck right before they let everything go.

Right before release, fall makes sure you can see every color it was carrying.

Red.

Orange.

Acid yellow.

Purple where there wasn’t purple before.

The whole landscape briefly looks electrically charged.

And then it decomposes.

I think that’s where I am entering October.

Not darkness.

Not death.

Fall’s X-ray electricity.

The moment when something withdraws and suddenly I can see what had been there underneath it the whole time.

The Static Cleared Before I Knew What I Was Looking At

Surreal violet, blue, and gold composition of a Black figures intertwined with large snakes, dripping currents, leaves, and branching forms beneath a circular field.
The static can clear before the body has language for what it can finally see.

The first half of this year was strange.

There was a point when the static started clearing.

And I could see myself.

But recognition of the self is not immediate fluency in the self.

That has been one of the more important tings I’ve learned.

You can suddenly have access to yourself and still have absolutely no fucking idea how to use the musculature.

For years, I could imagine worlds.

I could make pieces of them too.

A performance here.

An image there.

Writing.

Clothes.

Hair.

Food.

A room.

A website.

A pedagogy I didn’t know was a pedagogy yet.

But I couldn’t always carry the imagination all the way into material form.

My autism was masked.

The circuit was interrupted.

They gave me fuller access to the one that was already there.

And then I went back.

And I kept going back.

Even when what I found hurt.

Even when other people denied what I knew to be true.

Even when returning required me to look at people I loved and understand that their inability to see something did not make the ting invisible.

Eventually that return acquired a name.

September Was a Wavejump

Surreal Black Minimal Riso composition of Black bodies jumping, floating, disappearing into, and reemerging from enormous interwoven waves rendered in electric blue, red-orange, green, and violet.
A wavejump is not escape from the water. It is learning what the water did to you from the other side.

September began quietly.

Or at least I thought it did.

It was.

But a Wavejump isn’t the moment the static clears.

The static can clear and I can still be standing there looking at myself like:

Okay. There you are. Now what the fuck do we do with you?

The first six months of this year were recognition.

September felt like musculature.

I started learning how to inhabit what had become visible.

And by the end of the month, I could see what some of that movement had been building.

Two surreal Kettlebell Elders, one pink and one blue, stand together against a black speckled field, embodying load-bearing capacity alongside Jupiter and Neptune in Capricorn.
The Kettlebell Elders know: capacity is not a command to carry more.

Load-bearing capacity.

I have Jupiter at 10° Capricorn and Neptune at 1° Capricorn in my sixth house.

Clay-style Capricorn portrait with warm brown skin, large curling goat horns, dense earth-toned braided hair, gold jewelry, and multicolored beads against a brown lined background. CAPRICORN appears above the figure.
Capricorn becomes different when structure stops meaning punishment and starts meaning support.

Capricorn is one of those signs I have historically understood better intellectually than somatically.

Work.

Structure.

Discipline.

Responsibility.

Okay.

None of that particularly moved me.

Then another language appeared:

Give the imagined world material structure.

Well damn.

There you are.

Because the question was never whether I could imagine the Cosmos.

The question was whether I had infrastructure capable of carrying it.

My Body Learned the Flow First

The body learned the sequence well enough to stop counting and start flowing.

I started memorizing kettlebell flows in September.

That matters.

Same sequence.

Same measurements.

Same evidence that I had completed the ting correctly.

Now my body is beginning to lead.

On the first morning of October, my mind was moving too fast.

Thought after thought after thought.

I didn’t need to think harder.

My body knew something my mind wasn’t going to reason its way toward.

So I moved.

I did a shorter workout.

Burned about 600 calories.

Reset myself.

And stopped.

That has never happened before.

I didn’t abandon structure.

I had learned enough structure to improvise.

There is a difference.

My body could not bear this kind of load before because it was already bearing another one.

Mask.

Perform.

Translate.

Repeat.

Survive.

Call the repetition discipline.

Now I am learning something else.

Load.

Breath.

Rotation.

Recovery.

Enough.

Again when the body says again.

Stop when the body says stop.

The Cosmos is learning the same flow.

Metabolism

Psychedelic riso-style “Load-Bearing Capacity” graphic showing a Black figure with repeated arms moving through carry, assess, release, and continue, above a Metabolism Unit where released material remains in circulation.
Capacity became metabolism: carry, assess, release, recover, circulate.

At the beginning of this year, I could see what I wanted the website to become.

In pieces.

Now it is October and I can increasingly see the organism.

An essay connects to another essay.

An image reveals a methodology.

Something I wrote months ago suddenly explains something I am making now.

Hair speaks to ecology.

Ecology speaks to mathematics.

The body speaks to divination.

Divination speaks to inheritance.

Inheritance becomes water.

Water becomes infrastructure.

I don’t have to force all of those connections.

Some of them are already underground.

My job is sometimes simply to notice when two fruiting bodies are being fed by the same network.

I am discovering the metabolism of the Cosmos.

Which means I am asking different questions now.

What can I sustain?

What can I not sustain?

What actually makes me excited?

What am I doing because it belongs here?

What am I doing simply because I know how to do it?

What needs to circulate?

What needs to compost?

What needs to remain underground a little longer?

Capacity does not mean carrying everything.

Load-bearing capacity requires load discernment.

Then Venus Walked Into Scorpio

Distressed orange and indigo “X-Ray Vision” Astro Me graphic featuring a Black figure looking through an analog optical apparatus that reveals surface, withdrawal, and hidden branching infrastructure.
Value became material when I could finally see the conditions attached to it.

Venus entered Scorpio in September.

And almost immediately, value became material.

Not metaphorical value.

Money.

Relationship.

Access.

Obligation.

Care.

Conditions.

I had already been thinking about opening that door before it happened.

Mars was moving through Cancer while mother, kinship, memory, home, protection and inheritance were becoming actual lived questions.

The astrology did not predict the situation.

I was already in the water.

The sky gave me another coordinate from which to observe the pressure.

And when help came with terms that required me to re-enter an old relational structure, I said no.

The alternator was still fucked.

I still needed money.

I said no anyway.

And what surprised me was the relief.

My energy changed almost immediately.

I could see the website again.

I could see Siir and me again.

I could see what we had already built.

Fragile?

Absolutely.

But fragile and nonexistent are not the same ting.

There is infrastructure here.

The old route could be severed without the whole ecosystem collapsing.

And then another resource arrived through another route.

Enough.

Not abundance theater.

Enough to keep moving.

That became its own teaching:

The old route is severed.

The resource still arrives.

Pouring out is not the same as depletion.

And Then I Remembered Who Is Running This Solar Year

Three Astro Me Hom(e)ies embodying Libra, Aries, and Taurus stand across a retro grid landscape beneath planetary and lunar forms, representing the Aries Sun, Libra Rising, and Taurus Moon of the 2026 solar year.
Self. Relation. Sustenance. The Hom(e)ies map the three coordinates running this solar year.

This year I am moving through an Aries Sun, Taurus Moon, Libra Rising solar return.

I knew that.

But sometimes knowing where something sits on a chart and recognizing it moving through your life are two completely different tings.

Because look at the questions I have actually been asking.

What is mine?

What happens between mine and yours?

What can actually live?

Aries.

Libra.

Taurus.

Well damn.

My Aries Sun knows how to say:

I exist.

That part isn’t particularly mysterious to me.

But this solar year isn’t allowing that declaration to remain isolated.

Libra Rising asks what happens when that self enters relationship.

How am I encountered?

What do I exchange?

What constitutes reciprocity?

What is the architecture between us?

How do I become visible without turning visibility into performance?

And the Taurus Moon brings the whole question back into matter.

What can my body hold?

What is enough?

What feels safe enough to remain?

What has substance?

What can be sustained?

What does my body know before I have language for it?

That last question has become increasingly important.

Because when I told my mother no, the material problem did not disappear.

The alternator was still the alternator.

The money was still money.

And my body said:

relief.

That was information.

Venus Is Holding More of This Year Than I Realized

Distressed psychedelic print of Venus rendered as a red, blue, and violet planet inside an electric green archival frame labeled “VENUS — PLANET #02.”
Venus keeps returning the question to value: what is worth holding, and under what conditions?

Libra and Taurus have something important in common.

Venus rules both.

Two of the three coordinates I am using to understand this solar year are Venus-ruled.

And now, at the beginning of October, Venus is sitting in Scorpio preparing to turn retrograde.

Well.

Damn.

Because suddenly the question isn’t merely what I value.

It is:

What does value look like after self-recognition?

That feels different.

If I couldn’t fully access myself, then some of my previous measurements of value were necessarily being made through systems outside of myself.

Family.

Work.

Normalcy.

Productivity.

Recognition.

Being understandable.

Being useful.

Being good.

Being enough for somebody else’s structure.

But the static cleared.

And then I had to build the muscle required to inhabit what I could finally see.

Now value can be assessed from somewhere else.

Inside.

Aries asks:

What is mine?

Libra asks:

What happens between mine and yours?

Taurus asks:

Can this actually live?

And Venus walks backward through the sky asking me to look again.

Not necessarily to go back.

To look again.

Reciprocity Has a Body

Surreal riso collage of a queer body stretched across a deep green field, one arm raised and limbs elongated in motion. Red rootlike pathways spread beneath the skin while the words “BELIEF” and “BODY” are embedded across the torso. Curved lettering reads “The Word Made Flesh.”
Reciprocity has a body. What we build together should leave both of us more capable of living.

October is also the month I married Siir.

That feels particularly alive to me this year.

Because while one relationship was asking me to surrender myself as the price of material support, another relationship has spent years building material life with me.

And now Siir’s work is becoming more visibly woven into the Cosmos too.

Not an accessory to my world.

Another transmission moving through it.

Another mind.

Another rhythm.

Another way information travels.

Our neurodivergence does not move identically.

Our work does not move identically.

Our languages do not move identically.

And somehow we have spent six years learning how to build beside each other without requiring sameness.

That gives Libra something much more interesting to do than “partnership.”

Relationship as infrastructure without assimilation.

That is a form of value too.

Orange and violet Riso magazine cover showing Bespokecurry winking with an open mouth, small copper section buns, and arms extending toward the camera. Text includes “Afro Hair Color Theory” and “My wash day takes two days.”
Visibility is not something I am waiting to be granted. I am crafting how I want to be seen—and what I want the looking to reveal.

Mars entered Leo at the end of September.

Jupiter is already there.

And beneath this year’s Libra Rising, I am still natal Leo Rising.

Again:

Well damn.

Because I know exactly what I am doing right now.

I am crafting my visibility.

Not begging to be seen.

Not throwing everything onto the internet and calling exposure opportunity.

Not waiting for somebody else to decide the work is legitimate.

I am deciding how the world encounters the world I built.

That includes the website.

The visual language.

The archive.

The essays.

The way Siir exists inside the Cosmos.

The way I speak about my work.

The opportunities I pursue.

The opportunities I don’t.

And now we wait.

Maybe opportunities arrive as a result.

Maybe they don’t.

That’s field data too.

But visibility itself is becoming something I construct rather than something I perform in exchange for recognition.

Natal Leo Rising says:

Become perceptible.

Solar Libra Rising asks:

How will you compose the encounter?

That’s a much more interesting question than how do I get people to look at me?

I know how I want them to look.

At the world.

The Sun always shines.

It is not begging for attention.

It

is

Sun

Shine

Pluto Keeps Appearing

Psychedelic sculptural rendering of Pluto as a heavily textured, cratered planet in plum, lavender, sand, brown and turquoise. Thick, uneven layers create a tactile geological surface, with turquoise letters spelling “PLUTO” along the lower edge.
Pluto keeps appearing. At this point, I’m just leaving the door unlocked.

My natal Pluto sits at 1° Scorpio.

My Saturn is at 15° Scorpio.

My Mars is at 27° Scorpio.

There is a whole Scorpio corridor in my natal chart.

And Mercury entered Scorpio September 30.

So October begins with Mercury moving directly into the opening of that territory while Pluto itself sits in early Aquarius preparing to station direct later this month.

And today I bought weed.

The strain is called Pluto.

Of course it fucking is.

Pro Gro Pluto.

Meanwhile Siir has already been pulling on Pluto in Siir’s Talking Drum.

I don’t need to decide that Pluto sent me a cannabis strain.

That’s not how I use astrology.

But when the same language starts appearing through multiple portals, I pay attention.

Synchronicity.

Cannabis.

Siir’s writing.

My chart.

The current sky.

The Cosmos.

Something is rhyming.

I don’t need to finish the sentence yet.

Some Colors Were Already There

Some colors were already there. Withdrawal just changed what the eye could finally perceive.

This is the part about fall that I can’t stop thinking about.

A leaf doesn’t suddenly invent every color we see in autumn.

As chlorophyll breaks down, pigments that had been present become visible differently.

Something that dominated the visual field withdraws.

Another layer becomes perceptible.

That’s the X-ray.

And suddenly I understand why this particular autumn feels electric to me.

Something has withdrawn.

And I can see value that was already there.

I can see the infrastructure Siir and I have already built.

I can see the body that has been getting stronger for a year.

I can see the website that no longer looks like a pile of individual pages.

I can see the archive beginning to behave like an ecosystem.

I can see methodologies that existed before I had names for them.

I can see relationships between essays I did not intentionally construct.

I can see that my imagination was never the problem.

I can see that the body carrying it needed another architecture.

I can see myself.

Differently.

Revealing value.

Maybe that’s what the neon is.

“I sing the The Body Electric”

The Sparkle Is Part of the Compost

Psychedelic image of a dark autumn leaf illuminated with electric white sparkles, surrounded by hot pink, orange, and green color separation against a bright cyan field.
The sparkle is not separate from the compost. The brilliance and the decomposition are part of the same process.

People rush fall toward death.

Everything is dying.

Everything is decaying.

Everything is preparing for winter.

Sure.

But have you fucking looked at it?

There is spectacle here.

There is fluorescence.

There is excess color.

There is sparkle.

The brilliance and the decomposition aren’t opposites.

They are happening inside the same process.

And that feels important because I don’t experience letting my mother go only as grief.

There was relief.

There was energy.

There was room.

Something decomposed and another part of the ecosystem immediately had access to what had been occupied.

That doesn’t make what happened painless.

It means decomposition is not synonymous with disappearance.

Material moves.

Energy moves.

Resources move.

Attention moves.

The route changes.

The organism keeps metabolizing.

October Hasn’t Happened Yet

October 2026 Astro Me graphic featuring the Astro Me Hom(e)ies for Scorpio, Libra, Aries, Taurus, and Aquarius gathered across a retro-futurist grid with planets, moons, zodiac symbols, and the title “Fall’s X-Ray Electricity.”
October hasn’t happened yet. The map is here. I’m still the one who has to move through it.
  • Venus turns retrograde in Scorpio October 3.

  • There is a Libra New Moon October 10.

  • Pluto stations direct in Aquarius October 15.

  • The Sun enters Scorpio October 23.

  • Mercury stations retrograde in Scorpio October 24.

  • Venus backs into Libra October 25.

  • And a Taurus Full Moon arrives October 26.

Libra.

Scorpio.

Taurus.

Venus.

Pluto.

Return.

Value.

Body.

Relationship.

Material.

Compost.

Visibility.

There is plenty of weather here.

But weather is not prediction.

I have to live in it.

And this year has taught me something about that too.

The static clearing wasn’t the end.

Seeing myself wasn’t the end.

Getting access to my mind wasn’t the end.

I had to return.

I had to build muscle.

I had to breathe.

I had to learn the flow.

I had to build infrastructure.

And now I am learning how to recognize value from inside the life I am actually building.

The cards haven’t spoken yet.

They will.

And when they do, I’ll see where their roots are already touching this network.

For now, October looks electric.

The leaves are screaming their colors.

The compost is already underneath them.

My body knows more of the flow than it did last month.

The Cosmos can carry more than it could at the beginning of the year.

And I am not going to confuse increased capacity with an obligation to carry every fucking ting.

Some colors become visible because something else finally withdrew.

I’m looking.

I’m listening.

I’m building.

And I’m letting the body tell me what can live.

Monthly Glitches — October 2026

A red-orange Black Astro Me Hom(e)ie with ram horns, rendered with an X-ray color-separation effect, appears inside a purple coordinate grid beside the word ARIES.
Transmission: Let another body remain different without negotiating yourself out of your own shape.

Aries — Friction

October puts Libra across the Aries axis while Venus begins reconsidering value, exchange, and relationship. Friction isn’t automatically evidence that the self or the relationship has failed; sometimes it is how difference becomes perceptible.

Taurus Hom(e)ie in the October Astro Me sign-transmission series, rendered in psychedelic X-ray color separation against a retro purple grid, with the letters T-A-U-R-U-S surrounding the figure.
Transmission: Notice what your body stops reaching for once enough actually feels like enough.

Taurus — Enough

Your Venus ruler is moving backward while October builds toward a Taurus Full Moon. Value may become easier to recognize through the body’s response than through whatever measurement previously told you what should be enough.

Gemini Hom(e)ie pair in the October Astro Me sign-transmission series, rendered in psychedelic X-ray color separation against a retro purple grid, with the letters G-E-M-I-N-I surrounding the figures.
Transmission: Return to the information; don’t assume you have to return to the arrangement that produced it.

Gemini — Revision

Mercury moves deep into Scorpio and eventually turns retrograde there. Information can change when you rotate it, return to it, or finally notice the relationship between details that once seemed unrelated.

Cancer Hom(e)ie in the October Astro Me sign-transmission series, rendered in psychedelic X-ray color separation against a retro purple grid, with the letters C-A-N-C-E-R surrounding the figure.
Transmission: Relief is information too; notice what becomes available when your grip releases.

Cancer — Release

Mars has left Cancer, but what surfaced while it moved through your waters doesn’t have to leave with it. October’s compost asks what can become usable once you stop spending energy keeping it in its previous form.

Leo Hom(e)ie in the October Astro Me sign-transmission series, rendered in psychedelic X-ray color separation against a retro purple grid, with the letters L-E-O surrounding the figure.
Transmission: Become more visible without becoming more accessible than you want to be.

Leo — Visibility

Mars and Jupiter are moving through Leo while October’s Venusian weather asks what visibility is actually worth. Expansion does not require making yourself endlessly available; expression can have architecture.

Virgo Hom(e)ie in the October Astro Me sign-transmission series, rendered in psychedelic X-ray color separation against a retro purple grid, with the letters V-I-R-G-O surrounding the figure.
Transmission: Stop measuring the system only by what it produces; notice what it has learned to metabolize.

Virgo — Metabolism

September emphasized tending; October asks what all that tending actually produced. An organism cannot preserve everything it encounters—it takes in, transforms, circulates, stores, releases, and composts.

Libra Hom(e)ie in the October Astro Me sign-transmission series, rendered in psychedelic X-ray color separation against a retro purple grid, with the letters L-I-B-R-A surrounding the figure.
Transmission: Look at what travels both directions—and what has quietly been traveling only one.

Libra — Reciprocity

The Sun begins October in Libra, a Libra New Moon resets the relational field, and Venus eventually retrogrades home into Libra. Balance isn’t sameness, and reciprocity isn’t an exchange ledger; October makes the architecture between bodies easier to examine.

Scorpio Hom(e)ie in the October Astro Me sign-transmission series, rendered in psychedelic X-ray color separation against a retro purple grid, with the letters S-C-O-R-P-I-O surrounding the figure.
Transmission: Seeing underneath the surface does not obligate you to dig the old structure back up.

Scorpio — X-Ray

Venus stations retrograde here. Mercury moves through Scorpio and turns retrograde here. The Sun arrives later. October keeps returning attention to what sits underneath value, language, desire, intimacy, and exchange.

Sagittarius Hom(e)ie in the October Astro Me sign-transmission series, rendered in psychedelic X-ray color separation against a retro purple grid, with the letters S-A-G-I-T-T-A-R-I-U-S surrounding the figure.
Transmission: Let new information move the compass before you force it into the old story.

Sagittarius — Orientation

October contains plenty of revision without requiring a final explanation. When the information changes, orientation can change with it; meaning doesn’t have to remain loyal to the first map.

Capricorn Hom(e)ie in the October Astro Me sign-transmission series, rendered in psychedelic X-ray color separation against a retro purple grid, with the letters C-A-P-R-I-C-O-R-N surrounding the figure.
Transmission: Build for what needs to live, not for the maximum weight you can survive.

Capricorn — Capacity

Structure becomes useful when it can carry life without consuming the organism it was built to support. October’s questions about value and metabolism make capacity inseparable from discernment: being able to carry more does not make every load yours.

Aquarius Hom(e)ie in the October Astro Me sign-transmission series, rendered in psychedelic X-ray color separation against a retro purple grid, with the letters A-Q-U-A-R-I-U-S surrounding the figure.
Transmission: Follow the current far enough to see who receives nourishment when it returns.

Aquarius — Circulation

Pluto stations direct in Aquarius this month while October keeps examining what happens to resources, information, and power as they move through systems. A network isn’t functioning simply because something circulates through it.

Pisces Hom(e)ie in the October Astro Me sign-transmission series, rendered in psychedelic X-ray color separation against a retro purple grid, with the letters P-I-S-C-E-S surrounding the figure.
Transmission: You don’t have to absorb the whole atmosphere to recognize that its pressure changed.

Pisces — Perception

October’s X-ray isn’t asking you to absorb more; it is asking you to notice what becomes visible when something dominant withdraws. Permeability becomes more useful when perception includes your own body’s information.

The Cards — From 0 Came 2

Psychedelic color-separated collage of the New Orleans Voodoo Tarot deck against a distressed black field, featuring Zombi, Couché, Ochosi, Oggún, La Place, Ogoun Ferraille, Ogoun La Flambeau, and Ogoun Bhalin’dio beneath the text “NEW ORLEANS VOODOO TAROT DECK.”
Four Fives arrived together. Ferraille had already sounded the signal. From 0 came 2—and October asks what changes when the sacrifice is no longer me.
Psychedelic color-separated collage of three Sacred Incantations Oracle cards against a distressed black field beneath the text “SACRED INCANTATIONS ORACLE DECK.” The cards read “we don’t have to earn the right to be respected,” “may collective liberation not individual inclusion be our goal & our way,” and “our joy undermines their cruelty.”
I had already begun standing my ground. The cards did not create the boundary; they made visible the position I was already learning to hold. Fall’s X-ray electricity.

I wince when I see fives.

Five is change.

Five is tech(know)logy.

Five is war. And even though I have gotten much better at recognizing what is good for me, there is still a part of my body that sees change and prepares for whatever it thinks change is going to take.

But this time one Five did not arrive.

Four of them did.

And the fifth had already come.

Last week I pulled Ogoun Ferraille — Five and could not figure out why it was there. I knew what the card was saying. Stand your ground. Hold the position. There was something about the card I could recognize intellectually, but I could not yet locate myself inside it.

Now I can.

I had already begun standing my ground.

I just couldn’t see myself doing it yet.

Fall’s X-ray electricity.

Four Fives Make Twenty

Psychedelic color-separated illustration of a Black Hom(e)ie surrounded by spiraling numbers from zero through nine, with repeated ones, twos, and fives circulating across an electric blue field and the phrase “From 0 Came 2” behind them.
Four Fives make Twenty. Twenty reduces to Two. Ochosi moves through Twenty twice. From 0 came 2—not as repetition, but as relationship becoming visible inside the numbers.

This time the Fives came almost as an ecosystem:

Ogoun — Five: resilience and protection. The strength to stand solidly before threat or adversity.

Ogoun Bhalin’dio — Five: heartache.

Ogoun La Flambeau — Five: fighting for what I believe in.

And behind all three:

Ogoun Ferraille — Five.

The Five I pulled last week.

Standing my ground.

I had been reading that card before I understood that I had already taken the position it described.

There is no version of this spread where change becomes a pretty synonym for transformation.

There is heartache here.

There is threat here.

There is fighting here.

There is protection here.

There is the necessity of acting.

There is also water.

Black Minimal Riso illustration of a Black person suspended above tangled blue roots and broken structures, holding a blade across their body while a vertical blue current pours through one raised hand and continues downward in large droplets.
The route can be severed without stopping the water. La Place cuts while the Prince of Cups pours out: the old transport mechanism closes, and the resource finds another way to move.

La Place matters because the Prince of Cups arrives pouring out (reverse)

That phrase has followed me since September.

Masa reversed first showed me pouring out as a transport mechanism being severed. I refused the conditions attached to my mother’s money. The route closed. Then another resource arrived through another route.

The old route was severed.
The resource still arrived.

La Place brings pouring out back, but now the water is moving through swift action.

Feeling has not disappeared because I have acted. Action has not become evidence that I no longer feel.

The Prince moves through both.

Emotion with action.

Water with Ogoun.

Flow with a blade nearby.

Sometimes a current needs restoring.

Sometimes a current needs cutting.

Ochosi — Ten

Black Minimal Riso illustration of a Black person suspended above tangled blue roots and broken structures, holding a blade across their body while a vertical blue current pours through one raised hand and continues downward in large droplets.
The route can be severed without stopping the water. La Place cuts while the Prince of Cups pours out: the old transport mechanism closes, and the resource finds another way to move.

Then there is Ochosi — Ten.

Family legacy.

Long-term success.

Completion.

The number matters.

Miss One

Four Fives make Twenty.

Ochosi is Ten.

Ten moves through twenty twice.

And twenty reduces:

2 + 0 = 2.

From 0 came 2.

I cannot ignore that in a reading so saturated with relationship.

Because the completion here is relational, but completion does not mean every relationship survives.

I am done with the relationship with my mother.

That sentence has taken a long time to become that simple.

Ron is different. I am not completing a relationship with him because there was never a relationship there in the way I mean relationship. There was absence. There was violence. There were the consequences of somebody occupying a position without building the relational infrastructure that position was supposed to name.

Those are different tings.

They can exist inside the same family system without becoming the same wound.

And Ochosi arriving as family legacy after all these Fives makes me ask what legacy actually requires.

Not repetition.

Not access.

Not obedience.

Not keeping every route open because somebody upstream shares my blood.

September already gave me Granny.

I do not have to burn through those waters because my mother forgot to remain curious. A route through one person can end without everything behind that person disappearing.

A family tree would make that look like rupture.

Mycelium knows better.

From 0 Came 2

Minimal riso illustration of two Black femme figures seated on opposite sides of a luminous yellow field. Both tilt their faces upward while extensive root systems grow from beneath their bodies and enter flowing green, teal and pink currents. A magenta wireframe sphere forms at the center, surrounded by water droplets, mushrooms, cellular forms, planets and orbital lines.
From 0 came 2. The route changed, but relationship remained possible. What was severed did not end circulation; it revealed where the current could move next.

Twenty becoming two does not return me to my parents.

That is what catches me.

The relationship at the end of this arithmetic is not necessarily the relationship at its beginning.

0 → 2.

An opening.

Then relation.

And perhaps that is one of October’s actual questions: once I stop treating inherited relationships as the template for relationship itself, what other forms of two become possible?

I am married.

Siir is here.

There are bodies I have not met yet.

There are Hom(e)ies.

There are collaborators.

There are readers.

There are tings in the Wata(ring) W(hole) that do not require me to drain myself so they can remain afloat.

Two can be constructed differently.

Couché — IX: The Hand Knows

Black Minimal Riso illustration for Couché IX showing an enormous red-orange hand suspended over a dark landscape of rubble, broken structures, and blue vegetation, shaping and releasing a thin blue current that continues into the water below.
Couché — IX. The hand knows the difference between holding and shaping, between control and facility. Two can be constructed differently when the hand finally knows what to release.

Then Couché — IX. The Hermit.

Nine.

Hand.

YOD.

Pouring out.

But a hand does more than empty itself.

A hand shapes.

A hand crafts.

A hand learns material through contact and repetition. It learns pressure. It learns when to grip and when gripping harder will destroy the ting being held.

I have spent this year developing that kind of facility with myself.

Not mastery as domination.

Facility.

The body learning the kettlebell well enough to depart from the prescribed sequence. The mind learning its own architecture well enough to build infrastructure around it. The website becoming something I can move through rather than merely something I continually add to. Tarot becoming less about asking a card to tell me what is happening and more about recognizing relationships among tings I have already been living.

The hand knows differently after it has practiced.

And the hand can pour out without emptying the entire vessel.

Zombi — XII / Simbi Beneath the Surface

Psychedelic color-separated illustration for Zombi XII and Simbi showing a skeletal Black body surrounded and entwined by large blue-purple snakes, suspended among broken structures beneath an orange-green circular field.
Zombi — XII / Simbi beneath the surface. The same current can release or bind. The sacrifice is no longer me. The relationship can go. The water can move somewhere else.

Then Zombi arrives.

The Hanged Man.

Sacrifice.

Suspension.

Waiting.

But I need to be exact about sacrifice because I have been sacrificed before.

My parents sacrificed me to their own structures. Other people have sacrificed me to what they needed me to be, what they needed me to carry, what they needed my body or labor or proximity to make possible.

That is not what I am doing now.

I am not sacrificing myself.

I am choosing what I will sacrifice.

I am sacrificing continued relationship with my parents rather than continuing to sacrifice myself to preserve those relationships.

That distinction changes the entire card.

And Zombi cannot be separated from Simbi.

The text itself sends me underneath the image.

Simbi swims beneath the surface of the Magick Mirror. Quick as light. Still as the waves washing across the mirror. A water snake parting the surface of mystery. Listening for beginnings not yet born and endings of tings not yet completed.

Psychedelic color-separated October Astro Me illustration of a skeletal body entwined with two blue snakes, surrounded by roots and dripping currents, with the words “OCTOBER ASTRO ME” circling behind the body.
Two snakes. One contains the possibility of release; the other closes the mouth against Naming. Two does not automatically mean reciprocity. The same current can release or bind.

And inside Zombi, there are two snakes identified with Simbi.

Again:

Two.

One binds the Zombi at the waist.

The other becomes thread and sews the Zombi’s lips together.

One Simbi contains the possibility of release.

The other shuts the Zombi away from the healing power of Naming.

Same current.

Different relationship to the current.

The text says Simbi’s magick works with both hands, for good or ill.

There is the hand again.

Couché.

YOD.

IX.

Pouring out.

Craft.

And now Simbi makes the question even sharper:

What is the hand doing?

Holding?

Crafting?

Releasing?

Binding?

Silencing?

Opening?

Pouring?

The existence of connection does not tell me whether connection is life-giving.

The existence of water does not tell me whether the water is circulating.

The existence of a hand does not tell me whether the hand is holding or coercing.

The existence of family does not tell me whether there is relationship.

That is floa(ting).

Not simply whether I am being held.

What are the tings doing in the water with me?

The Mirror Has Returned

Psychedelic color-separated illustration of a Black face emerging at a waterline above an underwater network of roots, leaves, and three winding snakes, with pink droplets and signals moving between the surface and the submerged world.
The mirror has returned beneath the surface. Simbi asks a different question now: what are the tings doing in the water with me? Presence alone does not tell me whether the current is reciprocal.

And there is another thread I cannot miss.

September gave me Granny:

look in the mirror.

Now Simbi is swimming beneath the surface of the Magick Mirror.

September’s mirror asked me to look.

October’s mirror asks me to notice what has been moving underneath what I could see.

That is almost exactly the movement from The Quiet Sky Is Still Moving into Fall’s X-Ray Electricity.

The quiet sky was moving before I could perceive all of its movement.

Psychedelic color-separated illustration of Ogoun Ferraille as a fortified Black body sounding a horn, surrounded by concentric waves of blue, orange, pink, and green that radiate outward like a broadcast signal.
Ferraille was already sounding the boundary before I understood I had become capable of holding it. The static clears. Then recognition begins.

Ogoun Ferraille was already there before I knew I was standing my ground.

Simbi was underneath the mirror before the surface revealed what was swimming there.

The static clears.

Then recognition begins.

Respect. Liberation. Joy.

Respect. Liberation. Joy. Not rewards for surviving the arrangement—coordinates for deciding whether the arrangement deserves to continue.

And beside all of this, three cards from Sacred Incantations arrived without requiring much translation.

we don’t have to earn the right to be respected.

There is the entire parental bargain.

Respect cannot require repentance.

It cannot require obedience.

It cannot require me to become smaller, quieter, more religious, more acceptable, more comprehensible, more useful, or more willing to abandon what I know about myself.

may collective liberation not individual inclusion be our goal & our way.

There is flo(at).

Because getting myself enough water while everybody around me dries is not the Wata(ring) W(hole).

But neither is pouring myself out so everybody else gets to flo(at).

The question is circulation.

What is flowing?

What isn’t?

Who is being nourished?

Who is being drained?

What needs restoration?

What needs severing?

What has already decomposed into something that cannot—and should not—be reconstructed?

And then:

our joy undermines their cruelty.

There is the neon.

The fucking sparkle.

Not joy after decomposition.

Joy inside it.

The leaves do not wait until the process is finished to become electric.

Their brilliance is occurring while the previous form is already being dismantled.

Five Is Not the Ending

Psychedelic color-separated illustration of Ogoun La Flambeau, standing amid dismantled structures and flames, holding a tall blade, with two large circular forms behind the body.
Another Ogoun arrives, but the current has changed. Ferraille sounded the boundary; La Flambeau asks what I am willing to fight for now that I can recognize myself standing inside it. Now will I embody the ground on which I stand.

So perhaps I do not need to stop wincing at Five.

My body has reasons for recognizing change as danger.

But this spread gives Five more relationships.

5 + 5 + 5 + 5 = 20.

10 moves through 20 twice.

2 + 0 = 2.

And Simbi appears inside Zombi as two snakes, showing me that even two does not automatically mean reciprocity.

Two can release.

Two can bind.

Psychedelic color-separated illustration of Ogoun La Flambeau, standing amid dismantled structures and flames, holding a tall blade with two large circular forms behind the body.
La Flambeau asks what I am willing to fight for once standing my ground is no longer theoretical.

Two can speak.

Two can silence.

Relationship itself is not proof of right relationship.

That may be one of the clearest tings October has shown me yet.

I have been sacrificed.

I have been bound.

I have been silenced.

I have poured out.

And now I am developing enough facility with my own hands to decide what I will hold, what I will shape, what I will release, and what I will no longer carry.

The sacrifice is no longer me.

The relationship can go.

The water can move somewhere else.

Psychedelic color-separated illustration of Ogoun Bhalin’dio, seated and folded inward with their head resting against one hand, surrounded by plants, dripping water, and large circular forms.
Bhalin’dio names the heartache without making the heartache a reason to reopen the route. The relationship can go. The water can move somewhere else.

And from zero—

two can still come.

✺ Astro Me October 2026

Cosmos Watershed

This Astro Me enters the Cosmos through circulation. October is not simply about release or transformation; it asks what happens to the larger system when a route changes. Water moves through relationship, money, family, marriage, creative infrastructure, visibility, the body, and the tings surrounding it. Some currents need restoring. Some need severing. Some material has already begun decomposing into another form.

The watershed therefore holds both floa(ting) and fall’s X-ray electricity: the body learning what can hold it while remaining attentive to what else is moving—or no longer moving—through the water.

Core Watershed Refrain

The old route can be severed. The water can still move.

Six Waters

Water

October Movement

Still Water — Regulation

The body recognizes when enough is enough. Stopping becomes information rather than failure: the shorter workout, the breath, the capacity to interrupt momentum without abandoning movement.

Flowing Water — Movement

Resources, ideas, relationships, money, attention, and creative tings require circulation. October asks which routes remain alive and which are obstructing the larger watershed.

Deep Water — Memory

Family inheritance, Granny, Ron, Becky, old forms of relationship, and the cards already pulled in September remain beneath the visible surface. Simbi swims beneath the Magick Mirror.

Turbulent Water — Conflict

Four Fives arrive carrying heartache, protection, conviction, swift action, and the necessity of standing ground. Turbulence reveals where an arrangement can no longer remain arranged as it was.

Tidal Water — Rhythm

Withdrawal and return become method. Venus retrogrades. Mercury retrogrades. The leaves reveal color through withdrawal. The cards return to language first encountered in September. Nothing needs to move linearly to remain connected.

Sacred Water — Devotion

Respect does not have to be earned through self-erasure. Sacrifice changes when I choose what I will relinquish rather than continuing to offer myself as the sacrifice.
