it is too much performance and not enough substance for me in identity

I am quee(a)r

there is a deep difference

my trans is not their trans

this isnt about a spectrum

to be trans/quee(a)r is to be on the other side of

it is to dissect the binary and after dissection and complete disposal, is the recognition that alchemical transformation is possible for everyone.

most of what we engage of visible trans community is a swapping of the binary in order to reinforce a deeper delusion of binary thinking and behavior.

Camp in this economy of commodity isn’t used to create political change its used to the benefit of the dominant culture and the justification of our disposal as something other than human.

Camp is a way to place a wall around quee(r) insecurity and lack of safety, it is a way to get paid in a world that will still dispose of you no matter how clever you may be.

Testosterone and estrogen are programmed by hands of yt men. It is their tech(know)logy and if not expressly careful it will program you right back to the thing you were seeking to liberate yourself from.

The demure trend is a prime example of trans identity being used to reinforce ideas of coloniality and proper indication of assigned sex.

Yet it is misinterpreted as a win for trans community because they were able

to get paid.

I even saw unnecessary comparisons Kayla Newmans on fleek, and this ain’t that. The way ya’ll pull on the clout of dark skin femmes when it isn’t necessary, is mad telling.

The colorism alone to compare a dark skinned Black femme experience to that of someone living with lighter skin and pretty privilege.

This is not what Marsh P fought for and getting paid isn’t a stand in for the actual safety and equity of all trans bodies.

The exposure of trans bodies in social space is often leading to targeting and ultimately death.

The majority of trans femmes that ya’ll uplift you do so because they meet the binary well. Because you are willing to suspend your disbelief.

So as long as you are hyper femme and trans we will allow it? As long as you meet the standards for yt womanhood, we will let you think you can play the game.

As long as you are conservative, as long as you are seen and not heard. It means there is no space for imagination that isnt formed by ytness.

This creator was heard, overheard, paid yes, but the message was bought and paid for by massa.

We can no longer afford to speak in riddles and camp. Times have changed, when do we?

All of the mutual aid requests outstanding for Black queer/trans bodies that get ignored in full, but instead we are looking to trend instead of caring for one another.

Folx who cant afford to pander or play because their death is playing hide and seek at the tip of their nose.

Demure, shy or otherwise is meant to represent pure and reserved,  like the “good”  yt woman. In comparison to Black and brown femmes of the global south who are viewed as wild and morally bankrupt.

The trend is a trend because it suits the needs and pockets of the people of the paper. Because we need to program y’all back to docility.

And for all the clever words and colloquialism that is quee(a)rness, it creates a distraction that keeps them entertained while we toy with death.

Being trans is not about trending, and most trans bodies will never be allowed to leverage that type of visibility.

That’s not a win, a singular win that is not going to help, heal, and transform what it means to be trans in this place. It is commodity in the trans body.

Half the folx engaging that post and the trend didn’t even know the creator was trans and yet here comes community claiming this as a win, when the entire trans community is deeply under threat, and social media has a big bad part to play.

this is the violence of socialized identity and an imagination consumed with ytness.

the performance of pretty packaging in whose contents are very violent volatile things that make sure to keep you tied to the exact structures you claim you want to break.
