we need ya’lls help. we have to raise $4395 as a deposit for new housing that we have been approved for.
we took a leap of faith and asked for everything we needed, we placed it on the altar and after getting rejected on a place we didn’t really want, ancestors and spirit came all they way through on a place that we honestly were doubting could be for us.
2023 launched us into homelessness after dealing with HUD and the Portland Oregon Housing authority.
we spent a year fighting homelessness in LA going from Air BNB to Air BNB and engaging further trauma.
in April of 2024 we were finally able to get ourselves housed, but the panic of being unhoused caused us to make a quick decision out of fear and we ended up in another discriminatory housing situation.
this ground with the help of community we have been able to secure a new place that we will be moving into at the end of march.
