◉≋ the afroscape litmus (how to read what your hair is telling you)
your hair is already telling you what it needs.
most people have just been taught not to listen.
the afroscape litmus is about reading the current condition of your hair instead of assuming what it is.
start with this:
hydration
does your hair feel soft or resistant?
elasticity
does it stretch and return, or snap quickly?
saturation
is product moving through your hair, or sitting on top?
movement
does your hair extend when supported, or stay restricted?
these are signals.
not problems.
when your hair is:
dry
brittle
resistant
it is not failing.
it is responding to something.
your job is not to correct it immediately.
your job is to understand why.
once you understand the condition,
your response becomes intentional instead of reactive.
